About — HAKSA Roastery

Impact Electrons Siam (IES) was founded in 2011 with a vision to accelerate the energy transformation across the Asia Pacific. Having implemented over 1 GW of renewable energy to date, our work led us to a hidden gem for coffee cultivation: the Dak Cheung district in Sekong, Laos.

HAKSA, derived from the Lao word “ຮັກສາ,” meaning to nurture and preserve, is rooted in direct partnership. Working side-by-side with our trusted farmers, providing the training and consulting necessary to implement modern, advanced techniques in cultivation, harvesting, and processing. By introducing new coffee varieties to the region, we are not just growing beans; we are elevating the entire ecosystem. Our goal is to put Dak Cheung on the specialty coffee map and, eventually, the world stage

Whether it is an adventurous natural process or a refined washed method, our goal is to unlock the hidden potential within each harvest.

A world-class cup of coffee starts with the intentionality of the soil. Traditionally, coffee from Dak Cheung is known for its bold and earthy foundation, but we believe that every step along the supply chain offers an opportunity to elevate that character. By integrating modern processing and meticulous roasting, we have moved beyond tradition to reveal a more expressive, nuanced side of this origin.
